Our Story

Established in 2011 in rural DeKalb County, Indiana, our organization began by providing meat to a single food bank in Northeast Indiana. We now partner with meat processors as well as food banks, pantries, and related organizations serving needy Hoosiers located in 65 counties throughout the state.

Mission

Obtain donations of livestock, deer, and funds to provide processed meat to Indiana food banks, food pantries, and related organizations.

Vision

Create lasting partnerships with farmers, hunters, processors, and a network of community resources within Indiana to strengthen the availability and impact that meat consumption plays to the physical and mental well-being of our neighbors.

Impact

July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024, Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry provided 204,884 pounds of meat to over 160 hunger relief agencies located in 65 counties in Indiana so that our neighbors in need would have meat for their dinner plates at home.
